Its all in the cookie

We went to a Chinese restaurant recently and as always I love reading the fortunes that are inside the cute little cookies that they give you!

This was mine: A short stranger will soon enter your life with blessings to share!

I loved it!! It was actually right this time!! In Feb we will have a short stranger enter our lives who will bring us lots of blessings to share! :)
Who knew a fortune cookie could be so wise! :)

This was definitely the highlight of Judah's week!!!



Its always fun for me to be able to see Judah experience some things that other kids will not be able to just because of the kind of work his daddy does!

These pics are pics of rat brains!! What you see is the actual brain of a rat before it is made into rat brain smoothie and used for experiments!

Daniel has been talking about this for months with Judah and since Judah is really into the brain right now, he gets so excited and asks everyday what daddy did with the rat brains.

When Daniel called me and told me to bring Judah over to see some real rat brains, I rushed right over because I knew that it would be an invaluable experience for Judah!

So, in case you were ever curious, your minds can be put at rest.......now you know what a rat brain looks like! ;)

We took this pic last nite while judah while was sleeping!

Our neighbor told Judah he could have this giant, colorful turtle!

While I am still laughing at how ugly, and ginormous this thing is, Judah thinks it is the greatest thing!! Every nite this week, since he has obtained it, he insists on putting it on top of his bed and sleeping on it!
Forget the nice soft sheets and blankets! He must sleep on this turtle!!
LOL!! It is kinda cute I have to admit! He looks so peaceful and snuggly!

Mystery #2

Ok so I just realized that these will be posted backwards! sorry about that! ;) It will just make the story more interesting to follow!

You'll never guess what we found the next day again in our parking lot!!!! Another crayfish! This time Judah invited 2 of his friends to join in the fun. They didn't have nice gloves this time around but that did not stop them! Armed with plastic baggies on their hands they had alot of fun investigating, poking and prodding.

Who knows maybe another one of these mysterious crayfish will appear again soon!

Mystery #1

We have had a few mysterious findings around here lately! As always it brings out the scientist in my son and we must explore and investigate....gloves and all!

Earlier this week we found, as you can see, a crayfish in the parking lot of our complex! Judah wanted to pick it up but knew it would be nasty and so asked daddy to bring home some gloves from work and he did. This led to an investigation, and dissection.

We were curious as to where it had come from. We have seen some in the "lakes" and knew they were from there but, how did they manage to make it over to our house in the parking lot?

Well summer is in full swing! I enrolled Judah in the book reading club at the library! I remember doing that as a kid and thought it would be fun for him too!

We have been doing pretty well and are ready to claim our first prize! Judah's favorite book so far is not a book from the library! It is a book about the brain that I got him from the book store several months ago!

When we went to check out the lady just looked at me like I was crazy! Does this 4 yr old really want this book?! One man actually laughed!

I have to admit I tried to convince him to get another book but, he really wanted this one!! We read it several times a week and most of it is right before he goes to bed....you know bed time stories about the brain! Wait, you never read those when you were a kid??!! Neither did I!

LOL!! I think its cute and of course he cant understand alot of it but, he always has alot of questions and loves looking at the pictures!

Graduation

Judah was so excited to graduate from preschool!! He woke up at 6:30 last friday morning ready to go! Graduation wasn't til 11:15 =)
It was worth the wait!
